The Problem With Multitasking
I think when most people think about multitasking They might assume that they're doing two things at the same time and this has been more or less debunked by psychologists. Task switching is more of a problem when the tasks you're switching between Are not complementary so for example A kind of example of a complementary set of tasks maybe Is if you're filling out forms at the dmv while you're texting with a friend There's no real tension there. But if you're Texting with a friend while you're listening to a philosophy lecture and trying to take notes um task switching really is a problem.
