How to Listen to Movies
There's a lot you can do even before you start watching to make sure you've got more of a chance of understanding it. So something we do with my students is I just get them to do things like watch the trailer or read a plot summary. But, you know, just spoil it. Will spoil it because they are very, very detailed. You have to be a bit careful, but you can read shorter summaries online. Or even give yourself an idea and perhaps be like, "Actually this movie, I don't think it's the right one for me right now"
