Isn't Zero a Good for That?

zero is the limit between positive numbers and negative numbers. It's used to divide lines, calculate positions and so on. The arabic numerals let them do maths in a much more efficient way. But it also opened the door to these other things that you could do with a different kind of mathematics. And this was where the islamic scholars were absolutely crucial. They just kind of brought in all the good stuff they found in the parts of the world where there were arabic scholars,. an islamic as, and went, well, this is useful. We can use it.
