How to Set Up a Star Wars Conflict

Having a character turn bad is something that we as readers will fear much more than them dying heroically. So how do we go about doing this? What's our first step? Well, the first step is to give the character a choice that seems completely logical but just edges them down that path. And if you really want it to be really heart-wrenching, then let us see them being a very good or very heroic or very something so that we get to love that.
