The Anti-Rights Argument for Early References in the African Church
All four of the Gospels are saturated with imagery drawn from the Psalms. This is a subtle way of underscoring the notion that Jesus is the Arab David and this Messiah. There's almost no, I can't think of a single illusion or reference to the Old Testament in Mark 16. And so the argument is that this must go back to a pretty early period. It hasn't been embellished as some of the other accounts.
