The Hottest Three Weeks in Over 100,000 Years
The European Union Climate Monitoring Program announced yesterday that the entire planet has just lived through its warmest or its hottest three week period ever. Heat waves are responsible for more fatalities than both hurricanes and tornadoes combined, so we need to take this heat seriously. The largest power provider in the U.S. is calling for people to conserve their energy as demand skyrockets from the use of air conditioning when these temperatures make its way over 100 degrees.
