The Importance of God's Control

Saul has this very personal reminder that God is ultimately in control of all this. And if God does not want him to kill David, then he's simply not going to be able to. This is not a choice that you get to make. You know, we talk about how bad is Saul throwing a spear? Well everyone's bad at throwing a spear when God doesn't want the spear to hit whatever you're throwing at. Yeah. That's true. But when you're stuck inside some sin or kind of a spiritual addiction of sorts and addiction to some sort of evil, then it's easy to convince yourself against all evidence that you should continue walking down that bad road.
