CHAPTER

The Role of Structure in Patellofemoral Arthritis

On on MR scan ultrasound scan we can get a very good look at their patella tendon and if they're clear of tendinopathy signs then we can just be that little bit more comfortable in saying you know this is likely to be patellofemoral pain. Someone with dysplasia is likely to rehab slower than someone that's got a structurally normal knee for want of a better term my bias is if I put my research cap on I'd scan everyone because I'm a nerd and I want to know what the inside of your knee looks like. If a patient is keen on a scan for reassurance I think they should be offered one.
