Zoe smiled and thanked him. This was not the first time daniel had lent her a book. Sometimes he acted more like a librarian than a bookshop owner, as he believed that knowledge should be free and accessible to every one. Perhaps he lent her the book because he thought she needed to study the bridge for a school project. It was a project in a way, but it had nothing to do with school. And as it was friday evening, zoe could forget about her studies for now.
