Pelagius and the Church in Carthage

Pelagius was accused of being a heretic by the church council in Carthage. One pope refuses to condemn Pelagius, another pope does condemning him. This creates riots in Rome in 417, and at this point the emperor condemns Pelagius first for his oratical, heretical opinions, second for promoting sedition in the streets. So there we get this lovely mixture of the political and the religious.
