What's the Difference Between Material and Finish?
The director of design for home wearables and CMF is responsible for color material and finish. He says the team at Google works like florists to create a bouquet of flowers with each product having its own unique element. Material scientists go down to the chemistry level to define materials so that we can develop more sustainable materials such as recycled textiles, glass or metals.
