The Importance of Tough Reports

There is no such thing as a perfect report. Every bit of ink you spend should be used towards educating the user on your data element and if it's not, take it away. You can literally go through for every single object on the page and say, does this add additional story or value to that chart? If it doesn't,take it away. And I love that idea because Mike, I still use in training today the idea of the data to ink ratio when I'm telling people about.
