The purpose of the incarnation is not creational as such but rather in the order of sin for the sake of redemption so i find that bardian criticism really really uncompelling and the more i've read it the more i'm like this is so against the grain of the catholic imagination and tradition as well. I think aquinas and bonaventure would appeal to first him to one fifteen to say well what we have in revelation is that christ did come for redemption though that isn't keeping with creation's trajectory if that makes sense. The cross signifies both his active righteousness and his passiverighteousness he says.
