James alleged that the family engaged in a decades long scheme to falsely value their assets, mislead banks and help them generate as much as 250 million dollars in ill gotten gains. Trump responded on social media by calling the lawsuit a witch hunt. A spokesperson for the trump organization said it was the culmination of nearly three years of persistent, targeted, unethical political harassment.
