Putin and Bashar Putin's Cult of Cruelty
There are two interpretations why this cult of cruelty is present in such dictators as Putin and Assad. One is that there is a certain culture behind them, which I would call kind of a say, say the masochistic culture. Another interpretation is just very rational because tyrannies are founded on fear. And you will not even cross the red line because any new challenge will demand you from more violence.
