Web workers have been around for ever, however. They are able to take existing code as is and justx ed it in a web worker. But without that sincres communication channel, "the whole thing is for naught" So now you have this primitive way of talking to the main thread? Well how do you use this primitive ways to talk to the mainthread? You can send a request to some rl, and then can have a web worker that intercepts the request and then talks to themain thread on your behalf.
