I don't really like it when within the plant based community we dismiss protein as if it does not matter. I also think that it matters if we overshoot and we do more than we need. Protein equals work for your kidneys, so trying to find the right balance is an individualized thing. To me, somewhere in the range of 1.2 to 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight of protein on a daily basis is what we need.
