The Rise and Fall of Games Journalism

Games journalism or media goes back to, you know, hobbyist magazines in like the 70s and 80s starts to become a little more professionalized and commercial. Most of the mainstream games media landscape is funded by guides coverage, which is typically very low paid. Gamergate claims to sort of be this movement for I can't claims to be a lot of things, honestly. But I think the most generous interpretation of it would be that it is against corruption and games journalism.
