Beethoven even busts out an extremely rare triple fortissimo marking, meaning one level louder than the traditional as loudest possible marking. There isn't one symphony that essues a slow movement so completely, but yet still tains its momentum from beginning to end. And the thrills, the surprises, the jabs and right hooks of this symphony are just as if not more exhilarating, as they were when it was first heard.
