I was listening to some of the stories after Ruthie died out everyone gathered at Mike's house to try to hold him up and he had this great line in the book we're leaning but we're leaning on each other you know. They were telling all these funny stories Ruthie's friends Ruthie and Mike's friends to cheer him up and it cheered themselves up I walk back across the the way to my parents house thinking these stories are golden, says Bob Greene.
