For larger groups, you can do it in a few different ways. You could have one group just speaking and the other group observing,. taking notes, getting ready to ask questions or give feedback. Another thing to do is kind of more freely where you'll try to separate into smaller groups. And then I also like to time the discussions so that students can think about their summary skills... note-taking is actually really important for good speaking.
