The students had to do all kinds of sourcing adventures. To get silkworms, we found a supplier in long island or somewhere who could get us silkworm eggs. The student grew the silkworms at a constant temperature of about 80 degrees fahrenheit. And finally, on about the eighth try, they got green, beautiful green emeralds.
