I've been loving you too long, became Redding's first really big hit. It was soon being covered by the Rolling Stones and I continue in a turner. He was quickly becoming one of the biggest stars on the R&B scene. His record sales were still not matching his live performances. But he would always make far more money from appearances than from records.
