Hegel's Transformation From Elitist to Popular Figure in the 60s

Lacan's work is kind of like a liturgy. Like there's something theological about Lacan's work. He was his brother was a Catholic priest. And he predicted that Catholicism would win win the day over psycho and Allen. I don't subscribe to the idea that great thinker leaves us to some Supreme Supreme wisdom on his bed? It could also just be just rantings at the end of his life. That it overwhelms all these other things that come along with religion, which in my view is more powerful than anything.
