The Changes in Street Cred

What instrument would give you the most street cred nowadays in the UK. Is it the guitar still? I don't know so that's an interesting question because that's changed a lot there's less bands where when I like traditional bands  there's less of them now. When Taylor Swift became famous there were more acoustic guitar sales especially among women and girls than they have ever been before which is quite interesting wow.
