The Process of Variation, Is That What I'm Missing?
The structure of variation across among and within levels is a really important problem, an somthing we talk about a lot. Of course, there's differences from one zebra to the next, but maybe for some classes of biological problems, those just don't matter,. And so what we're doing by saying that organisms are streams, becauseeow, when we're saying that organisms had thecipiti structures? It's essentially to ground any biological proposition on something that we feel it's more rigorous than machine-based thinking.
