The Role of GABA in Depression
The GABA system may be involved in the pathophysiology of depression. Inflammation kind of rerout signaling in the brain, which is linked to anhedonia and negative moods. There's also evidence that HPA abnormalities are often seen in depressed people. The question now is whether they're downstream effective or not.
