Suicide Is a Top Cause of Death in the United States

Suicide and homicide are often perfectly out of sink with each other. The most typical american suicide is a man 75 or older. Men tend to use what we would call more active methods. And suicide by gun is usually successful. In winter, homicide is also much more common in cities than in rural areas. For suicide, it's the opposite.
