Zephaniah 3, 8 and 10 - A New Testament Reflection

In Zephaniah 3, 9 and 10, God promises to develop his new, creational, international community during the day of Yahweh. Peter highlights the future, unexpected nature of this day when he says the heavens and the earth that now exist are stored up for fire. And Christ's church is even now enjoying the transformed speech, the unity, and the worship envisioned in these passages.
