Chuffed to Bits

A lot of these bits of rhyming slang have just come into general usage now. The word chuffed means that you're pleased or you're pleased with yourself. So, for example, I'm absolutely chuffed to bits. Chuffed is not an objective but a consequence of something else. It tends to just be I'm chuffed or I'm feeling chuffed, not what makes me chuffed.
