The Limitations of Learning Metrics for Text Generation
Recent developments on using learned metrics for text generation. It seems like a pretty exciting research topic, can you tell us why? There's been a lot in the last two, three years that are coming out. We have these fantastic language models, and we're using metrics from 2000s which mainly focus on word overlap. But again, with any metric that comes of it, that comes at cost that we need to deal with.
