Is Our Sun Limited to Helium?
Our sun is not hot enough to fuse anything basically but hydrogen into helium. But other stars out there in the universe are and they can keep fusing stuff all the way up to iron. Only the bigger, more massive stars are capable of fusing heavier and heavier elements. Even the biggest and hottest stars have to stop at iron.
