The Department of Justice Is Independent From the White House or Independent Enough?

Rep. Jim Himes: I don't know, independent enough is an interesting question. The notion that the investigations of Donald Trump's behavior with respect to Russia were driven by political considerations have now been refuted both by the inspector general and by the special counsel Durham. What we need to do is stop eroding the stability and the respect for the Department of Justice and the FBI because their work doesn't lead to the political result that we want.
