The Impact of Higher Interest Rates on Wall Street Banks
Major Wall Street banks turned in pretty solid results for the first quarter of this year. Higher rates have provided a big boost to banks, much of which we saw in 2022. But now we're starting to see the downside of higher rates, which is that the bank's cost of funding is going up.
