The Importance of Resilience
At least 60% of adults admit to having at least one unreasonable fear. Personality traits such as neuroticism appear to increase a person's likelihood of developing a phobia. And a tendency towards frequent worries and negative thoughts may also increase the risk. But if we go back to our genetics, of course, we probably have a genetic predisposition to fear. Otherwise, we probably would never have survived as a species.
