Dark Matter - A New, New Type of Particle

My thesis in graduate school was about dark matter. The idea of nutrinos is dark matter. These were not the little, little, wimpy nutrinos we have now. imagine there's a nutrino which is a mass of a million electron votes or a billion electron votes, that could be dark matter. So this is physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. And it became apparent that there were experiments you could do to test this idea. If the particle was produced in the primordial soup of the early universe, then if we can reproduce primordial soup, may be able to produce it and detect it here.
