The Big Banks and the Politics of Extortion
In his new book, John Avlon argues that the big banks paid billions of dollars in fines after the financial crisis and they didn't necessarily go to home owners. He says it's a form of extortion because you do have an incentive for powerful firms to wrap themselves in certain policies that appear to be in favor by the government. "There's something quite, quite ugly about that," Avlon adds.
