You're basically sacrificing flexibility for simplicity. Most people aren't going to be able to outperform these things. And I'm a big fan of simplicity, so I agree with that. The fee is not that competitive. You can certainly do better nowadays. Certainly, if you have your own bespoke version of life strategy or target date fund. It's really hard to outperform something like life strategy and target date funds.
