There was definitely persecution that was happening with them, but at the same time, a lot of them seemed very undeterred. They weren't going to stop doing what they were doing by any means. So we're not talking about people that were exclusively seen as like awful, you know, evil magicians doing dastardly things,. But people still really seem to love them oftentimes.
