The Musnavi about Banaras, I think, couldn't but deal with devotion. Valip himself writes this Musnavi in a manner as if he is paying his obeisance to the city. So I think it was an act of devotion on his path to write thismusnavi. And when he arrives to the city, it's not the contemporary Banaras that is cluttered. As we see it today, it's a city of ponds and lakes and it's very green"
