Technology often makes articipating in an aggressive society much easier to do, because it distances people from the act of aggression. An extreme example of what he's talking about would be something like drone strikes. But this applies to many aspects of society. Take the internet for example. How easy is it frsomebody to post a comment and contribute to this culture of aggression? See somebody they disagree with, make some snarky, condescending comment, sorry to ruin your little party of bigotry and hatred here.
