The book is about two meetings, or these two failed meetings. The reader can read the effusive letters that ocampo was writing to kaiserling in 19 27 19 28. And then towards the end of the book, before he dies, keserling writes his memoirs. And in his memoirs, he writes a chapter about yung and a chapter about victoria ocampo as his anima. Ocampo is so upset by this memoir because she feels it misrepresents who she is. So she writes a very short book, a rebottl to say that that was your projection on me, keiserling, but this is who i am.
