Heather asks how neolithic people communicated and navigated their way across the british isles. Evidence from stonehenge shows that they were in contact with people nearly 200 miles away, for example. It's amazing just how far you can travel on foot if you're determined enough. They may have used some of their animals for travelling as well, of course.
