The Importance of Embracing a Catholic Method

Don't embrace basically an inerrantist read of the creeds, confessions, Catholic church and the medieval synthesis. Reject it for a strong appreciation of the historical church leading into a reformational paradigm. It is not wrong for us to benefit tremendously from reformed Baptist and conservative evangelical theologians of the last 200 years. But we must not think that if there's a theologian who wrote about the Trinity in the late 19th century, well, well, don't even read it. Just read what the guys wrote in 260 AD because the modern period, you can't even read.
