The Economics of Streaming Sports Channels

Disney is thinking seriously about how to transition ESPN into a streaming service. Bob Greene: It seems on the face of it sort of unfathomable how they'll ever make up the difference in lost revenue. He says if you were a person who has cut the cord and gotten abandoned your cable TV subscription, you did that for a reason. Greene: Now you're going to turn around and then pay for it because you've already made the decision that you're not going to pay for it.
