Steve Shaw and Mike Edwards learned the United States was looking for American psychics. With the help of James Randy, they had to plan to reveal not just how misguided the government was to create such a laboratory but also show how the research wasn't scientific. They started right away, right after being picked up at the airport, as soon as the scientists weren't looking their direction. And they wanted to out just how terrible this research design was.
