Is the Self Unitary?

The self may be a looser more complicated form of unity than we tend to think so people who say that there is no self are also saying something about the nature of our experience which is that although we sort of think of it as a unified coherent perspective at any time and ongoing unified unbroken flow it's actually not really like that at all. So okay it's difficult to explain how your experience could not be like you think it is but there are things that can be said about it There are ways that you can get people to attend to their experience and see that it's not always completely unified.
