Does the Lighting of Street Lights Affect Moths?

When caterpillars are first exposed to lighting, they tend not to eat. But as they get used to it, they start to stress eat and gainway. People have observed moths flying around a street light and just sort of circling it until they die from exhaustion. I think a more significant source of mortality around street lights is from predation by bats.
