I think a lot of libertarians were also disillusioned when they saw corporations start to take stands on these social issues. Because I think libertarians, to some degree or some of them, were trying to depoliticize things. Getting the economics right can be to the benefit of all. Well, culture wars are often generally more zero sum game. And so I sympathize deeply with the the urge to look away from culture wars.
