What's Happening When You Tap the Blue Check?
Twitter's new system of verifying accounts is confusing, says Jarrett Bellini. People are paying $8 a month to get the blue check that means they're verified or official. But then people start tweeting all kinds of terrible things and it makes them seem more like an official than someone who has paid for their account. "I think this is a better system, but I think that an easier system would be just a blue check or say a gold check," he says.
